About me

Cathy Parsley

I am a qualified therapist supporting adults and young people (age 11+) within my private practice. I also love being a Youth Wellbeing Coach for a local mental health charity that is very close to my heart. I have recently worked with the BBC and Netmums to create content for BBC Bitesize, discussing breaking down barriers around accessing mental health advice and support.

I am also a mum to teenagers and I lead a busy life, making sure that I take care of myself as best I can, to work as effectively as I can for my clients.

Asking for support can feel really daunting so my aim is to create a relaxed and calm environment, and to reassure you that sessions move at your pace.

If you want to get in touch to find out whether you feel comfortable working together, I offer a free 20 minute informal chat and can answer any questions that you might have.

I have experience in working with victims and survivors of domestic abuse during my time as an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor for a local Domestic Abuse Service.

I am also passionate and experienced in supporting and coaching young people with issues such as anxiety, low confidence, school attendance difficulties and social anxiety.

I continue to volunteer and support my local mental health charity and have lots of experience working with many different clients, facing many different challenges.

Not every client knows exactly what it is that they would like support with, sometimes, just having a safe and confidential space to offload and talk freely can help to lighten the load and make life easier to manage.
